RETURNS & REFUNDS — Version: August 2026

/ 14-DAY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL. If you are a consumer purchasing online, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days after receiving your order, without giving a reason. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must clearly inform OCTA Kiteboarding of your decision to withdraw within this 14-day period. After notifying OCTA of your withdrawal, you have a further 14 days to return the product. Your statutory consumer rights remain applicable at all times.

/ HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN. Before returning a product, contact OCTA Kiteboarding using the contact email address shown on this website. Please include: your full name; your order number; the product you wish to return; the date the order was received; a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase. OCTA will provide the relevant return instructions. Do not send products to an address other than the return address provided by OCTA.

/ RETURN SHIPPING COSTS. The direct costs of returning a product are the responsibility of the customer. OCTA Kiteboarding does not provide a free return label and does not reimburse return shipping costs, unless OCTA is legally required to bear these costs or has explicitly agreed otherwise. We recommend using a trackable shipping method. The customer is responsible for correctly packaging and returning the product.

/ CONDITION OF RETURNED PRODUCTS. You may inspect a product to determine its nature, characteristics and functioning in the same way that would reasonably be possible in a physical store. Products should, as far as reasonably possible, be returned: complete; clean; with all supplied components; carefully packaged; without unnecessary damage. You are responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling or use beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.

/ MOUNTED OR USED KITEBOARD PRODUCTS. Please pay particular attention to this section before installing or using your OCTA product. Mounting and especially using kiteboarding equipment on the water may cause visible marks, wear, scratches, deformation or other signs of use. A product that has been mounted or used is not automatically excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal. However, where installation or use goes beyond what is necessary to assess the product and results in a reduction in value, OCTA may deduct that reduction in value from the refund to the extent permitted by law. We therefore recommend checking dimensions, compatibility, colour and the general product condition before taking the product onto the water.

/ REFUNDS. When a valid withdrawal applies, OCTA will refund the amounts that must legally be reimbursed. For a complete withdrawal from an order, this generally includes the purchase price and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the original order, where required by law. Additional costs resulting from the customer choosing a more expensive delivery method do not have to be reimbursed. OCTA may wait with the refund until the returned goods have been received or until the customer has provided sufficient evidence that the goods have been returned, whichever occurs first, where permitted by applicable law. Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.

/ DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS. A defective product or an incorrectly delivered product is different from a normal change-of-mind return. If you believe your OCTA product was delivered damaged, contains a manufacturing defect or you received the wrong product, contact OCTA before returning it. Please provide: your order number; a description of the issue; clear photographs of the product; photographs of any relevant damage; where relevant, photographs showing how the product was installed. Do not continue using a product if you suspect that it may be unsafe. If OCTA is legally responsible for the defect or incorrect delivery, your statutory rights apply and OCTA will provide an appropriate solution.

/ NORMAL WEAR AND USER DAMAGE. Normal wear and tear is not considered a manufacturing defect. This includes, where applicable, wear or damage resulting from: crashes; impacts; incorrect landings; contact with the seabed, beach or obstacles; excessive forces; incorrect installation; loose or incorrect fasteners; modification of the product; improper storage; transport damage caused after delivery; continued use of a visibly damaged product. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have where a product itself does not conform to the agreement.

/ CUSTOM OR PERSONALISED PRODUCTS. Where OCTA offers products that are manufactured according to the customer’s individual specifications or are clearly personalised, the statutory right of withdrawal may not apply where the legal requirements for this exception are met. Where applicable, this will be clearly communicated before purchase. A standard colour or standard product option offered as part of OCTA’s normal product range should not automatically be treated as a personalised product.

/ QUESTIONS ABOUT A RETURN. If you are unsure whether your product can be returned, contact OCTA before shipping it. Please include your order number so that we can assist you efficiently. Contact: [USE THE SAME OCTA CONTACT EMAIL ADDRESS ALREADY USED ON THE WEBSITE]
